Something about this doesn't seem right:
![]() Why am I losing gold for an operation with 0 workers on it? Not only that, but also I was trying to stockpile that ore. I don't need any more of it smelted. The only way I can seem to "fix" this is by manually removing all gold from the treasury (which stops ALL work), but that's only a temporary fix which screws up other operations, and work will resume as soon as I deposit any more gold. They aren't doing nothing, they are smelting the next higher bar you have available. Once they are out of ore to smelt, then you stop paying for them until you get more ore.
There is something you can hover in-game (no clue how it works on console), but it explains that if they have nothing to work on, they will work on other ores to smelt (or ore to mine for the miners). Instead of removing the gold, you can remove smelters so they aren't smelting as much per hour and saves you some gold when they are idle. When you need the Verisium Ore for upgrading, I recommend removing all smelters until you complete those. Last edited by blackdeath101#5742 on Aug 6, 2024, 10:30:24 PM

Yikes, well that's a annoying. I get that it's supposed to be QoL so that your workers are always working, but when I assign workers to specific things I really only want them to work on those specific things. I plan to ship a bunch of ore in my next shipments (to target farm some more runes), so it's actually detrimental for me rather than QoL. Wish they had a switch or checkbox to toggle that feature on/off, rather than force me to remove all my workers and later micromanage which of them are supposed to go where in order to get it back to the way it previously was

" You actually have this part backwards. Bars are worth 5x as much as ores so you are hurting your own loot by shipping ores instead of bars. |

Oh, you're right, thanks for catching that!
I could've sworn in an earlier version of the cheat sheet though, it said ore was for runes (and so far, it's worked for me), but I guess I'll just send bars instead from now on: ![]() ![]() Last edited by Spectrecular#3248 on Aug 6, 2024, 11:54:35 PM
