Gold drops need to be scaled up, it's almost impossible to get enough
I think gold drops should be buffed, or gold costs in town should be lowered.
Right now its a struggle to keep gold in your coffers at red tier maps if you are interacting with the town. (Even worse if running map runners) Just as well to forget about the currency exchange if you are interacting with the town and not at high tier maps bringing in gold. Gold costs just seem a bit too high. Last bumped on Aug 1, 2024, 10:32:41 PM

i have yet to reach red maps and im curious how fast do you clear maps. I want to contemplate how bad its going to be for my botched build at that point.
On paper it doesnt sound too bad if fast builds get more out of town like faster mapers get loot faster out of mob kills, but i cant really speak about this yet. Last edited by Andrius319#4787 on Aug 1, 2024, 5:14:40 PM

" I made a Flicker strike build just to address this. I'm probabably in the top 5% for clearing maps by speed. Currently I can do around tier 12-13 comfortable. Can't do much higher without slowing down a lot. But Maps are sub , but I'm averaging maybe 3-4k gold per map it seems, with some wide variations. Maybe it'll be sustainable when I fully upgrade my town. But with still rerolling for new hires its pretty much impossible to sustain, definitely not if I am spending the big gold costs on upgrades. My town currently burns about 18k an hour with all working, if i ran all my map runners it would be over 30k and I still need to uprgrade them. |

May be intended, I think having the town fully operational all the time at high tiers would make a person get too much good loot too quickly. Having a gold defecit is likely to force you to slow down a little, and also choose how to spend your gold instead of just doing eveerything all the time.

Yes. I kinda feel like the gold costs were balanced around meta build players who clear juiced t16s in 2 minutes for 12 hours a day. We're not all playing like that, and it feels like a chore just to try to keep up with the town when it's only moderately upgraded and employing mid level workers, and the stations aren't even fully stocked/enabled. I've completely stopped shipping, disenchanting and smelting. I send some people out to do white maps sometimes, but the rewards have been abysmal so I'll probably just stop that too.
ETA: I do enjoy the league mechanic in spite of the gold costs feeling off, hopefully they'll adjust it a little. Last edited by plz#2115 on Aug 1, 2024, 11:03:00 PM
