Verisiium Ore magically smelting without anyone doing it

I have 857 verisium ores and have had no one smithing it.

I NEED the ore, not the bars, so I haven't been putting any smelting people in that ore slot.

I got a bunch of ore, then found it later smelted.
I got some more, and it ended up being smelted
I unequiped ALL my smelting people, and reapplied them, and 100 some ores were sitting in my stash for 2 days while I try and find some ore.
Today, I log in morning and ore is still there...still no virisum ore.
I upgrade mining, and checked and saw ALL my verisium ore is now turned into bars.

This is getting stupid. I can't upgrade my town and shipping yard because the ore keeps magically smelting.

I need a way to keep it from smelting....or a way to magically turn the bars into ores.


*Side Note: I wish there was a 'deposit all gold' from town management. It would be easier to just move all gold at once instead of having to more bar.

this isn't a bug but is something GGG should consider changing.
both miners and smelters will automatically change what they are working on when they are out of the assigned work

smelters need to be changed to a priority system.

eg, smelters assigned to crimson can only smelt crimson, but if assigned to amber then they can do Amber, orihalcum and crimson but not bismuth or verisium.
