Unbound Avatar + Rathpith Glove unintended interaction

I'm playing Warden with the Unbound Avatar skill, and I also happen to be using Rathpith Globe. It seems that the "gain 1 unboundy fury" part of the skill is counted as a spell trigger for Rathpith Globe, so my entire health bar is sacrificed whenever I attack.

Is this interaction intended? I would not expect the unbound fury gain to be counted as a triggered spell.
