You Ruined Ritual by cramming Affliction insanity into a small circle

By cramming overtuned Affliction monsters into the small circle that is Ritual, you put two things together that don't belong together.

I know you want to find ways to integrate mechanics into existing ones, but this was not the way.


Tone down the Affliction monsters.

Giga purple flower line spam: smaller.
Dozens of green blobs chasing you around: less of them.
Troll Shaman: turn down its unnecessarily high one shot damage.

That would be a start. I'm sure there are others I've yet to bash my head against in tougher maps.

tbh a lot of the monsters are FINE. even the troll. but. once you cram everything together, the best way to play is to delete everything asap before it becomes a problem.

else, it becomes a clusterfuck of effects all happening at once.

Think really the only thing that seems a tad bit overtuned is the green balls, their damage/speed/time til they detonate. I think they are lightning/frost damage combo and shock you.

Everything else is really not doing anything. Purple flower stuff is just chaos res.

Hard disagree things are fine.

The balls are the worst, but the troll shaman rock hits harder than pinnacle
boss hits too.

Not to mention the fact that detonate dead is one of the most hated mechanics
on enemy monsters in the game, and now ritual enjoyers are forced to deal with a bunch of it TWICE PER PACK every single map??? Come on!! This shit needs to be reverted, full stop.
The mechanics overpopulate the small confined space, there's just literally no room to kite unless you face tank it. I can understand having overtuning the monsters on maps, at least there is some wiggle room to dodge them. How do you even do it in such small space.

Even in t1-5 maps, these mechanics in ritual are disproportionately crazy
