I absolutely hate petrified amber

The entire petrified amber mechanic personifies everything wrong and detestable with breach-like mechanics. pure dps check because mobs ignore you, are uber tankier than act bosses, and unfortunately the option to ignore them also means no town resource, and league mechanic progress is hard [removed by support] gated behind doing this fight.

this is blight. but you cannot build towers. also every fight is a 9-lane fight. portals spawn only half a screen away from the pump. and chest rewards are penalised by how much damage the pump suffers. does anybody on the dev team know how shit this makes all builds that are not the current meta of the flavourmonth feel?

the words i would use to describe my feelings toward this specific mechanic are unfortunately banned by the eternal blessed lord overseer censors of our great motherland forums.

Shit mechanic togheter with retaliation. I regret trying out new skills, need to respec :(
I agree, honestly it feels like they made a worse version of blight in every way.

1) No lanes, all mobs come at once from all directions
2) Health affects how much ore is received
3) Encounter starts immediately
4) No Towers to help mitigate

So you basically end up with the worst parts of tower defense with rewards. They don't even attack you so retaliation doesn't work well. Sure, people can recommend specific skills, but unless you're doing a major boss encounter, no league mechanic really requires you to totally change out your gem.

Yeah I immediately though this is blight 2.0 and I despise blight for being.

In fact I despise anything stat-check as its just punishing if you dont have enough gear.
POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.
I petition to return all the fun stuff that was removed or nerfed over the years back into POE1.
The rares have at least double the life compared to other resource events of the same level.

Why isn't this fixed yet? Was it two designers again who buffed the life of the mobs? It would be amazing if this isn't addressed 4 months in like t17s.

This doesn't make sense as a stat-check on top of it, because bosses drop for me in 10 seconds while I'm unable to get petrified amber from the same map.
