How do you guys make "Crushing Fist" work?

With the new buffs and nodes to Retaliation, the "Crushing Fist" skill looked enticing to me...

then I tried it.

The windup is incredibly slow... and the damage, albeit x3 the damage of a usual skill attack, feels unrewarding. I could probably cast 4 of my usual skill in the time allotted for one Crushing fist.

Has anyone found a way to make this skill viable?

Hey man, currently using this skill levelling. I say its pretty strong. I am shotting some rares not the big ones though with high life. So how I am using it? its still on a 4 link but with Glacial Shield Swipe freezing monsters it gives enough time to smash stuffs. So far I'm loving it. Also, I got Frostbreath unique mace, I think it works with the double damage on chilled enemies. So
