Penance Brand of Dissipation: still viable 3.25?

I missed my chance to play it back when it was broken. It stayed popular (a bit) in the last league.

Is it still viable and (relatively) strong? Anyone do the work post-3.25 patch notes?

I'd love to play with it, provided it can be potentially scaled to t17s with sub-mirror gear. Any tips and builds to follow would be much appreciated! I have very little experience with brand skills, haven't played one in a LONG LONG time and don't really want to raw-dog it....

Not sure what the changes are for upcoming league if any, but I played it as my second character this league after finding some useful gear and it still seemed pretty strong. It must of been completely overpowered last league.

The glass cannon assassin version I played might not be the meta version, I'm not knowledgeable about the build myself, I already had equipment when I played it. The gear I used would be less than a mirror, but not cheap, maybe 500Div. I don't think I completed ubers with it, it would be able to with the dps, but it was extremely squishy, compared to my other build which could tank ubers reliably with much slower damage. It was amazing for running sanctum and pretty good at mapping as well. I think there might be different versions that are more league start friendly. The change to the gem itself shouldn't make any difference. I didn't see anything in the notes that would make much of a difference, but wasn't looking specifically as I'm not going to start with it. I don't know how hard it is to gear from scratch on the variants.

I'd barely used brand skills before, it's not difficult in that regard, just throw it down and stay somewhere you won't take damage.
