Hello I have just achieved end game so kinda new.
I am interested in playing the new league Kalguur, if I start with my current character will I loose everything? If I start a new character with the intent to play the new Kalguur, will the first be affected at all? Regards. Last bumped on Jul 20, 2024, 12:22:19 AM

I would wait but I mean it wont be a waste to start a new char it will just end up in standard in a few days. This is kinda like asking should I start a new character in a 4 month league on the last day of the league I think most people would say no.

" Nope. Your old character in standard league will still be there. Nothing changes for that one except general balancing changes that may or may not affect your specific build. " Nope. Your new character will participate in the league, which means that one will have to start from scratch. No gear, no currency, no nothing - as usual. However, whatever you do farm in the new league will be merged over to standard whenever the upcoming league ends. So you cant lose. If the new league looks interesting and you are fine with grinding it all out again, then go for it by all means. If you change your mind midway, no problem, your guy in standard league is still there and unless balancing changes screwed that build over, you can continue playing that one instead. Up to you. " When the Settlers of Kalguur league begins in a week, you will need to create a new character to take part in it at that time. It's a fresh start from scratch. Your existing character in Standard will still be there, along with all of your existing items. 😹😹😹😹😹
I do not and will not use TFT. Gaming Granny :D 🐢🐢🐢🪲🪲🪲 @xjjanie.bsky.social |

If you only just made it to end game, then I strongly suggest you make a new character once the league starts. Standard is extremely expensive to play in, and you won't have the budget to advance using trade unless you get lucky with a drop.

May as well try out the league and see if you like it. If you don't enjoy re levelling can continue on with your standard character. In most cases things you collect in the league will be eventually be migrated into the standard. There are some exceptions. For example necropolis is not going to core, so most thing you collect in necropolis will move over, though certain things like crave crafting materials wont persist afterwards. This will not override your standard progress.
Sometimes, some things in the standard change as well, even though it's a permanent league. This will happen whether you play the new league or not. For example, if there are atlas changes, you might loose your atlas progression. There is a process where you can update it using a legacy map. https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Atlas_of_Worlds I don't think there's much changes to the standard league in this update, but have not read the patch notes thoroughly. The main reasons to play the league are to encounter a fresh economy or game state. Also to be able to interact with new mechanics and ideas that don't exist in standard yet and might be altered or not playable in standard latter on. There's no real downside on playing the league, other than you might prefer to be playing in standard, but you wont loose any progress, other than changes that might happen anyway regardless of the league.
