Ward Loop Builds

Mark clearly stated ward loop builds are still viable, but I find it unlikely the local modifiers on gear are twice as powerful. The nerf to Olroth's Resolve is cutting our ward in half from the legacy variant. Normally I'm find with a nerf like this if it balances other builds. However, Olroth's Resolve was used by 0.7% of players in 3.24, 99% of them playing ward loop.
Unless I'm wrong about how powerful the new local modifiers will be, I simply do not understand why GGG would feel the need to nerf an already expensive build played by less than 1% of players, especially when 83% of them can no longer use Hatred after it's balance changes. " The more I look at it, the more I see that you just won't be able to rely on FR to proc damage to make it "viable." You need 2 Heartbound Loops and significantly more investment into defenses. It still annoys me there would be such a heavy nerf to a .7% player base build. |

Really wanted to give this a go this league, believed Mark so got some, what I believed to be, ok gear together and it just does not look like it is going to work.
