Please do something about Berserker and Gladiator

Next patch, a first glance, Berserker is more of a slam ascendancy rather than benefiting from 10.00 aps and higher.

Seismic cry from the patch notes "Exerted Attacks now have 50% more Area of Effect (previously 30% increased, and 30% increased Area of Effect per previous Attack Exerted by this Warcry)"

War Bringer being changed significantly is definitely a feels bad, but my first intuition is either crit slams or vaal pact + rite of ruin slams. Doesn't seem good but idk how bad these changes are for earthshatter, sunder, other.

I don't think you league start berserker, I think you wait until players have the time and energy to test things.

if anything these changes made it much worse because now all flat damage is gone so you HAVE to rely on a weapon. and getting melee weapons for leveling on a league start is like eating glass.
boneshatter remains THE choice precisely because of the flat phys it still gets.

Have to agree slams look like shyte but impale and bleed look decent with free banners (well free except for 10 passives).

First glance warcry's don't look the effort but maybe I'm wrong.

I'll probably start cleave of rage just for giggles and see how frustrated I can get. Or perhaps shield crush with rage and retaliation though block still looks to be a large investment
A lot of these "glad will be great bro" posts are not describing how glad is supposed to survive in maps. Where are the ascendancy nodes for it? Attack block didn't save you before and it won't save you now, and neither will 50% spell block if you can achieve it.

Being better and smoother offensively doesn't matter if I'm having a heart attack every 5 seconds above white maps.

they have no clue because they havent played melee in years. statistically it is almost impossible to find a player who did. so they do not know nor care. but have an opinion because 250->600%



i do not see a reason for anyone to leaguestart melee. the problems with damage progression (weapon acquisition), reliance on mechanics that work only after serious investment (banners), clunky mechanics (warcry piano, retaliation piano), poor access to defences (suppression) and ultimately - low damage.

people will start Hexblast mines, bows, minions

these changes and 'reworks' are sad duds


You've said it best, it shows who actually played melee and who hasn't, anyone who's been playing melee the entire time will read these patch notes and realize ggg is pulling wool over your eyes. It's a shame that ggg once again gets to pull a 3.7, they did the same thing in legion, absolutely destroyed melee but made Cyclone broken and successfully tricked the community into a ''melee league''.
