Banners lingering is a recipe for disaster

Isn't that just going to create largely the same situation as totems, where you now must cast them during trash, because it's now 70% of your damage again?

I thought that was what we were trying to avoid with this rework.

I've been arguing this entire evening that the rework was fine, but then I saw the lingering, effectively making banners a permanent effect.

I thought you learned your lesson with this Linger crap. I'm no longer sold that this is a great improvement.


Obviously, I'll need to play it before having a proper idea, but this linger stuff scares me. Now it's not something you click on a tough target, it's a buff you keep up. Hopefully the resource cost is high enough, which was the point I originally argued TONIGHT?

Edit: It seems only amplified by the explode notable. 20% chance to explode sounds like it's actively trying to be part of my trash clearing rotation. This is getting funny. Maybe I misunderstood the problem at hand.



E: Read that valor is gained while not having a banner. Still not sold on the lingering. Anywhere near 100% uptime definitely means bad. It's clear that the descriptions of Valor are generally kinda bad and uptime remains unclear.
