Manaforged setup for BAMA

I'm playing BAMA and was wondering whether I could add a Manaforged Arrow setup with Rain of Arrows, Split Arrow and Ensnaring Arrow to enable life on hit and curse on hit (in addition to the Ensnaring Arrow bonuses). For me it doesn't seem to trigger though despite my Blink Arrow and Mirror Arrow mana costs being quite high with 69 mana. What am I getting wrong?

Oh, just figured it out myself... Eldritch battery! Spending ES doesn't seem to count. That is too bad!

If you replace one of the links with Lifetap, it should work AND trip every time it's off cooldown (because it will count as needing 0 mana cost).

AFAIK you still have to spend mana with the initial skill to get it to check the cost of the rest
