The effect of this pendant doesn't disappear even if the current energy shield is zero.(the effect becomes weaker)
And it disappears if the maximum energy shield is zero.

I want it to disappear when the current energy shield is zero, just like when the maximum energy shield is zero.

Not a bug. I fell into that trap too, this thing was never meant to show current ES, only maximum ES, as in "look everybody how fat I am!":)

There are similar MTX for your strength, spell damage, etc.

Amount of MTX I'd like to refund because GGG didn't bother with description and in-game preview on your exact character was worth a core supporter pack in points last time I played.

No, it displays the current ES, not the maximum ES.
However, when the current ES becomes zero, the behavior changes depending on whether or not there is a maximum ES.

Maximum ES is 1 or more: A light circle is displayed.
Maximum ES is 0: Nothing is displayed.
