how can you not have fixed the corpse visual issue?

The fact that, for the entire league, corpses have COVERED loot and gone unfixed is mind-boggling to me.

Especially considering there is already clearly a priority visual already programmed into the game....with raw loot being hidden underneath the higher-priority corpse.

In almost no instance is a corpse ever going to have higher priority (re: picking up) than an item....we have item filters that can completely remove any non-worthwhile items from our field of vision already. Same cannot be said for worthless corpses.

So how can GGG go pretty much the entire league without fixing this small, but critical issue?

Because it's a waste of further development time to try fix it to players satisfaction, especially since it is unlikely to go core, couple that with them very likely pushing hard to make a late 2024 date for the PoE2 beta and developing a league that may be extended a bit more than 4 months (to cover the beta)

^I'm not really expecting them to fix it NOW, I expected it 1 week into the league. I know many who were immediately turned off the league altogether simply because of this visual bug. It renders actual gameplay into a total pain in the ass. The very first time it happened to me, I turned the game off. It was just THAT dumb.

"Waste of further develop time": I respectfully disagree, except with asking it to be fixed now. The setup is already there, as I mentioned there is already some type of priority system in place with corpses over all other items in the visual priority. I can't imagine this takes any significant effort to reverse or even remove. Keep in mind, item filters already use all this programming and have for years. It already exists, there isn't any "extra" work they need to do.

I've been active on these forums, and this is one of the most often seen complaints of the entire league. (legit complaints, not "everything sucks")

Considering the altars from exarch and eater alredy behave, as this wants the corpses to behave, by letting you pick stuff obscured by them, it makes any excuse against, to not add this to something they were planning to work exactly like the altars, very weird.

right? The tech is already there...it has to be next to NO WORK for them to fix this and they just choose to let poor design continue.
If poe2 is responsible for the issues in the last *checks notes, reflects* 5 leagues then it should never have been developed.

Honestly they are killing the game with all these little issues. Maybe the corpse blocking stuff isn't a big deal, but it is another issue ontop of a literal mountain of QOL and bugs they have ignored for years.

Just to add:
To be perfectly honest, this game is:
kill things, loot, repeat

When there is an issue affecting one of these core aspects of the game (looting), no matter how small it may seem on the surface, it IS a big issue and should be treated as one. Sure, in the game, each individual time this happens is a minor annoyance. But we interact with this issue 100s, 1000s, potentially 10s of 1000s of times in a league.
