2H Mace Physical Damage Build

First post and I have only been in beta a few days so I have been trying to figure out where to put my points. I have a few questions which the answers probably will effect the build but I can change things later.

The build: 2H Mace Physical Marauder

Now my first question is with Diablo 2 you would get all of your resistances from gear. I see there are a few places to add some +resist but are they necessary or can I plan on all needed resists coming from gear?

My second question is would pigeonholing myself into all physical damage going to come back and haunt me in the later difficulties?

My third question is about Int/Dex. Now granted I am only level 25 my question is do I really need any? I see there is plenty of gear that requires a little of each along with strength but can I hold out and search for gear that only has a strength requirement or may that also come back to bite me in the butt if I cannot find an upgrade for a while?

Thanks and let me know what you think!

1. Diamond Skin is too good to pass up, especially if you are a marauder. The other passives near it, don't take unless you have to. You can get good resist from gear later on but taking Diamond Skin will give you a little more option of using good gear that may have less or no resist on them.

2. Right now elemental damage is still king, even after the 9.10 patches. This is because of the abundance of abilities that convert physical damage to elemental and because you can get lots of bonus elemental damage from gear which can easily exceed your physical damage from your weapon. From your tree I would grab Catalyze and friends and Lava Lash.

3. Short answer is you can purely focus on strength if you want since you have already locked yourself into mace nodes (strength only weapon), however there are skill and support gems from dex or int that you may want like hatred and phase run. I'd suggest taking a look at the dex and int gems to see if you really want any of them. You can still focus mainly on str and only grab enough of the other stats as needed. There are +30 nodes of each stat around and you can get stats from jewelry.
Thanks for the info!
