Schizoid banging sound in delirium that ignores sound settings

Delirium has been out for about 4 years at this point and this issue is still on going. I can't imagine this is a difficult fix. When you have all sound turned off, with master volume set on low the on death effects from some of the mobs produce a 100% volume banging/explosion sound that is louder than anything else I have playing on the computer at the moment.
