Unlocking veiled items, and unlocking veiled crafting recipes

I have now found and unveiled ~10-15 veiled items. When choosing the veiled modifier to take, I get a message about unlocking a recipe, and then another message that the recipe unlocking failed. When I go to my crafting bench, I can see that I have NO veiled recipes unlocked.

Am I doing something wrong, or is there another step needed to get this done, which I am unaware of?

I had posted this in another forum, and response was that it sounded like a bug, so I'm posting it here.

When I go to the crafting bench, and collapse all but the "veiled" section of the recipes, it's obvious that there are no veiled recipes revealed, they're all ghosted out because I don't know any of them yet.

Screenshot? I have never seen a unveil "fail".

Sadly, no screenshot, didn't occur to me at the time.

And to be clear, the "unveil" did not fail, all items unveiled got their new affix.

It's the part where the unveiling also grants you a crafting recipe. That's where I see the error. Says something about "you will get a recipe" (obviously, I'm paraphrasing here, don't remember the exact words), and then another pop-up box along the lines of "failed to give you a recipe".

This all happened over a week ago, over the course of a week. Didn't think all that much of it at the time (this is my first char, the game's so complex, I have no idea what's happening half the time :) )

Then, last night, I wanted to add some chaos resist to an item, so I went to my crafting bench. Found out I can't do that, because I don't have those recipes, which are under the "veiled" section of recipes. Then, for kicks, I looked to see which veiled recipes I DO have at my crafting bench. And that's when I saw it was a big fat zero!

When you unveil those recipes, they then appear in the Suffix/Prefix sections above, just as other discovered recipes do. Only the unveiled ones remain in the Veiled section (and they are greyed out).

OK, thanks, that's useful information :)

Next time I unveil something, I'll see if I still get that goofy message, and note the recipe it's talking about. Hopefully I'm just misinterpreting what it's trying to tell me.

The reason I didn't know this is because the regular recipes (the ones you get from finding them in the various zones) are all already under prefix or suffix, even if grayed out and unknown. I assumed the veiled recipes would work the same.

The bolded part clearly suggests a bug. Thats the part you should screenshot.

Also: If you posted this in the bug forum it was moved to other forum where clearly it does not belong. There should be no such error. Error = bug.
