Constant disconnects

I need help identifying what's causing my game to disconnect constantly.

I'm new at this, and I'm not even sure what to look for.

Sometimes I can load a map, run for about 2-3 minutes, and then disconnect. Note, this is not a "Crash" of the game. It disconnects me back to the login page.

Other times the disconnects occur immediately on loading a map, or while attempting to navigate an NPC vendor.

I've tried changing servers, verifying data integrity via Steam, uninstalled all plugins/addons (like the trade ones), etc, and it still keeps happening.

The game is currently unplayable - a term I use not in the sense of the "totally unplayable" meme, but in the sense that it is in fact totally unplayable.

Does anyone know if there's a setting I may have tripped, or if there's a way to work out exactly what's going on?

I can share data/information as long as you can tell me where to find whatever is relevant.

you could always try installing and running the standalone non steam client for testing purposes.

are you running the game on a windows installation?

Going to try for the standalone windows now.
Yes, it's a windows PC.

yeah sucks to download and install again... but just to rule it out.

Yeah, something seriously wrong is going on.
I'm even getting crashes on the standalone download now. It won't fully download before running into an error and closing.

Update Chipset Drivers for CPU (prefer Intel or AMD site)

Update Bios to latest per MB support page

This sounds more like an internet connectivity issue.

Do a complete power cycle of your modem/router to start with.

Unfortunately the fixes offered have not resolved the disconnection issue.
Altohugh oddly they do seem to have improved performance - at least for the duration the connection holds.

I've tested the internet connection in other games/mediums, and everything else is fine.

If it's a connectivity issue, it's to the POE servers themselves (all of them, it seems ... it doesn't matter which server I select, or if I leave it on Auto Select. The same thing happens everywhere.)

Is this enough informaiton, or should I let it run longer?
