Exposure on Monsters

Does exposure affects maximum resistances or just current resistances?

Suppose a monster has 50% elemental resistances plus 3 endurance charges (each gives it a 15% elemental resistances plus, a total for +45%).

So the monster got a current 95% elemental resistances but his maximum resistance is 75%. If I apply on it a exposure for -10% elemental resistance, it would stay at 75% elemental resistance with a current 85% elemental resistance or would it get resistances lowered to 65%?
