Mana Siphoner Damage Before Ring Display

Currently, I am playing a melee build that utilizes the Doryani's Prototype, which applies armour values to lightning damage taken from hits. However, this does not apply to damage over time which can be applied to things such as the ring around mana siphoners. The additional line for Doryani's Prototype indicates that lightning resistance of nearby enemies is equal to yours, which incentivizes a low and/or negative lightning resistance to maximize damage. In a lot of cases a melee character should have little issue with simply jumping to center of the ring to avoid damage when encountering a monster with the mana siphoner mod. However, there are numerous ways in which enemies can spawn around a player to where the player's character is already standing on the ring as the monster is becoming targetable. Examples where mana siphoners can spawn around the character include but are not limited to Eldritch minions spawning, strong boxes, rituals, Delve Chambers and Outposts. During the period of the monster spawning, the damage over time from the ring is already being applied before the ring is visible.

While for most builds this is not an issue, the damage over time effect against a player using Doryani's Prototype who is running with negative lightning resistance can result in character death in a split second. I believe that the damage application before the ring is visible to be an unfair mechanic for players, and would recommend a change to the damage application to where it is only applied when the ring is visible.
