I'm a filthy casual

I just wanted to give a smidge of feedback.

I'm a casual who also happens to have 4000 hours in the game. I've never killed shaper, I've never made it past level 90. I usually get to the end game and just get overwhelmed. I try to follow the guides people have about shaping the atlas, using sextants, etc. It just starts to feel like work, yanno? So instead, I start a new character, play it for a while, gear it up, rinse and repeat.

This is the first league I feel like I'm gonna go all the way. I love the Atlas changes with the passive skill tree and such (Keep in mind I'm coming back from a very long break, I've been working 24/7 for a year). I love the crafting mechanic and the passive little benefits of Necropolis league. All of these things have made the end game so much more approachable for me.

I just used all of my bodies to craft an ele bow. I can't even use it on my character, I just wanted to do it because I CAN now. I realize the do or die, take a week off work to rush everything crowd MAY have had their wings clipped a smidge, I'm unsure as I don't know any of them, but POE FEEEEEEELS a lot more fun for me than it has in a long time. Since Infernal Blow was the godlike melee facetank skill of choice.

So just a bit of positive feedback from said filthy casual. It feels less like a chore and more like a game. I like it. Gonna buy a new hideout. Thanks for the game fellas.

Quick edit: When I started the league, I thought the crafting only used the adjacent graves because of how it was highlighting just the surrounding ones. Idk if it's still doing that, but that gave me a smidge of visual confusion.

There's no such thing as filthy casual. Try hard players like to say such things to feel better about themselves but at the end of the day, the game needs casual players because they are in higher number and they are the ones that keep the game alive.

I used to think that being "good" at games was the best thing ever, then I had to start working, then I had to work and attend university, then I got married... You know how that goes. I realized that when I stopped caring about how good I was at things I started to enjoy it much more.

Good luck with your goals! Me and my spouse are finally playing a duo and having a lot of fun, hopefully we're able to kill some bosses before we start playing something else.

Don't know what to say to you but there's a difference between having a wonderful life and the day only having 24 hours which you need to prioritize other things.
The 24-hours day is a purely man-made construct. You can ignore them if you wish
So anyway, yeah. The go-hard players still have their "day 1 uber duber 1-shot God" time, and I feel like I can get there eventually too. I feel like that's a pretty good balance.
