Engineer Orb - An early idea for a Rework
So I am absolutely adoring the idea of crafting mobs into maps using Allflame embers. It makes maps so much more interesting and interactive in a more immediate sense for me, and since its a loot drop I have to pick & choose when and where to use mobs.
Regardless of whether or not you decide to somehow make Allflames core in some fashion, I believe that this functionality would be perfect for Engineering Orbs. Currently Engineering Orbs simply add quantity to boxes. They aren't exactly worthwhile to pickup by most players, and the shards are literally filtered out at the SECOND level of filterblade, which is used by the average player far before players even reach maps. I believe that Engineering orbs should be reworked to always add a static 5% quantity to strongboxes ontop of adding a random mob type from the Allflame mob pool to the box, replacing a default mob. The added mobs inside would have a chance to drop their relevant valuable drops and at 20% strongbox quality would add 4 mobs total to the box. To take it even further, a new UI could even popup over the box to allow players to mix and match the mobs & effects similar to Allflames right now. We would be "engineering" encounters.
