Sanctum is not part of mapping so adding it to the Atlas tree would make no sense at all. Atlas tree is specifically and exclusively for maps.

" That must be why they left heist off the atlas tree, right? Last edited by ARealLifeCaribbeanPirate#2605 on Apr 2, 2024, 7:42:48 AM

"Sure, but things like Heist or Delve don’t take place in maps either, and yet they can still have Atlas nodes because, like Sanctum, you find the resources you need to access them in maps. Along the same lines, there could be nodes to increase time drops from specific enemy types or conditions (obvious thematic crossover with Beyond), to alter the drops you get, give them new implicits etc. Grant relic drops, or new items altogether that can alter a Sanctum or be used within it. They could even go the “Huck in a box” route and pull some Sanctum stuff into maps. It might feel a bit sparse because Heist and Delve at least already have an interactive object that appears in maps. But that could be changed too. Everything can be changed. I mean I don’t even like Sanctum, at all, so I don’t really have a horse in this race, but the game isn’t set in stone; there are countless possible ways to do this if they wanted to do it. |

I strongly agree that there should be some sort of spec for sanctum, admittedly I'm no treally sure what one could actually have other than higher drop rates for sanctum books (i forget the term) and maybe letting relics occasionally drop in maps.

" That's pretty much all we could expect from Sanctum passives, honestly. I guess one other thing they could do is enable modified tomes to drop that have special effects or come attached with random permanent boons. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! And the winds will cry / and many men will die / and all the waves will bow down / to the Loreley |

" The Atlas has literally no effect in Delve or in Heist. It can be used to make more sulphite appear in maps and to drop contracts but the Atlas tree in no way effect anything outside of maps. Atlas = maps, simple as. |

Well aware of that, it’s not in question. The point is, they nonetheless have nodes on the tree.
