No ancestral totem buff removal? Melee nerfed again
I can't understand, why they don't see the same problem as 95% of melee players. Even Jonathan acknowledged this is an issue and it does not get addressed. Situation is even worse, since they added another 1-2 mandatory gems (call to arms and possibly lifetap). Where am I even supposed to socket it? The proposed solution to use 2 Unset rings is just not reasonable. This needs immediate hotfix since it is another HUGE nerf for melee for no reason.
My proposed hotfix for THIS league -> remove ancestral totem buffs, add 40% more dmg multi(temporarily) on every gem, that was benefitting from both totems and some smaller dmg multi or attack speed on proj ones. Keep dawnstrider and panopticon as is until you have time to rework them. This frees up multiple sockets for melee players, which we can instead use for the new automation gems, which are imho COOL. Ofc having more multi on everything is not ideal solution, but its a hotfix, which should be doable in 1 day with little to no side effects, that I am aware of. They can't do that according to their principles. The concept of "free damage" is only allowed for casters and bows demolishing bosses and the whole screen with one click while eating a sandwich offscreen. Why is manaforged arrows support still allowed to exist?
