Feedback: Itemised Aisling should be a new currency item called Veiled Exalted Orb.
" Pretty darn clear to me.....the OLD item was literally called a "veiled chaos orb" with a completely different function, and now its shown to be called a "veiled orb". They made a conscious decision to drop the "chaos" from the name. We are literally shown a picture of the item and its name. The narrator is the one who made it confusing, hence why I wrote that I think he misspoke or didn't actually know the specifics of what he was talking about. Regardless, it most certainly does NOT act like an exalt orb and it would cause way more problems if it had that name. Cue the hundreds of threads: "Why did I lose x mod when using my Veiled Exalt Orb! Exalts don't remove mods!". Calling it a "chaos" orb is also misleading, but not nearly as bad as calling it an exalt. At least with chaos, you expect existing modifiers to be changed in some way. Based on years of being in these forums....the average player does NOT like to read and complains incessantly when something goes wrong because they didn't read carefully enough. " not true. people only complained about prefix/suffix cannot be changed since wording is misleading. its absurd to think people will have problems with wording on new veiled orb. |

" This nerf has a ham-fisted touch, so I doubt much thought went into naming appropriacy. Rather, pure removal of current veiled-chaos-orb functionality can appear to make more sense of the orb itself continues to exist with different functionality...like a common magician's trick, but one that also removes the old functionality from legacy use. This Aisling functionality by itself, though, in orb form, does offer the possibility of some fun with naming... maybe "Veiled modulation orb" or thematically "Veiled immortal orb"? I'm not seeing a motive for veiled chaos orb (functional) removal except as a nerf to crafting flexibility.
