Minimal damage from unstable larvae

Hello,
In the Cavern of Anger, Unstable Larvae deal very little damage when exploding. Not sure if this is a bug or not, but Unstable Larvae are pretty harmless compared to what they used to be. Thank you! |

Strange, I just got killed by them. I'm a witch and my armour isn't very high, but they do a ton of damage to me. How much damage did they used to do? (I think 4 of them got a partial surround on me and insta-killed me)

Note that they do Fire damage, so if you have very high fire resist it may seem like they're pretty harmless. Is this the case?

My character has progressed a lot since then - but yes, I do believe my fire resistance was pretty high (over 60%). I guess that explains it. Thank you!
