Fortify needs a change

It needs a change. Bring back meaningful fortify wheels. Buff it's base duration and buff stacks gained(hard to get stacks on rares in deep-ish delve). I understand it was nerfed, because right side of the tree was getting it, while it wasnt supposed to, but that is no longer an issue, so I dont see reason why it should have base duration of 6s and little to no scaling with investment. If it is supposed to be strong layer, it HAS to be reliable and i HAVE to feel good investing into it.

There could be too many defensive layers for left side of the tree, but that is only in trade environment. When playing SSF/small private leagues, you will see all the issues with left side of the tree, when it comes to progression. Fortify is and was one of the main defensive layers for left side and melee, but it got butchered years ago.

" Kinda my train of thought tbh. I've got 8 melee builds running right now and out of those only 4 use it at all and two of the ones that do are Champs. And one of the other 2 could likely discard it without any consequence. I guess it wouldn't hurt having another good defense layer in the game but honestly, there are so many to choose from already it wouldn't hurt if they just removed it either. |

It's too hard to get on non-champion because it's based on ailment thresholds, so you will have a hard time proccing this on stuff where it matters the most (bosses, uber bosses). So to benefit from it you have to be a champ where you simply have 20 fortification, no stupid conditions required.
These fortify clusters could be replaced with dual wielding block or sth similar. |
