A way to skip Acts (for 2nd characters onward)

Make an item like a skill book that drops off of important bosses or make it drop anywhere but is super rare (I was thinking 5-10 Div worth, but I do not know how to make it so people value it for that much).

In essence, this would be an item you can use on a character, lvl lower than 68.
- It would skip the campaign, make the character wake up on Karui Shores (with basic blue gear or none at all, your choice GGG)
- It would give the character lvl 68, empty skill tree, no ascendancies done

Reasons for this:
- Incentivises players to chase for this item (or make currency to buy it) instead of making a new character and wasting 4-8 hours, when they could play their main and have fun.
- Veterans can have easy access to new characters, some will have an easier time to make content because they don't waste hours lvling.
- Noobs can just get lucky finding this item or something haha

Recent interview says they don't want any form of skipping campaign.

Coconut already said it but since that's probably not enough:

the overwhelming majority of players don't even make it to maps, that's why they won't let the one's that get to end game skip to maps, really shitty
Skipping one part of the game only makes as much sense as skipping any other part of the game. If it’s okay to skip to having Kitava it’s surely okay to skip to having killed Uber Whoever.

Not saying I’d object if GGG randomly announced they were adding this functionality, but I would instead prefer a solution focused on altering the perception that “the game starts at level 68” etc.

Really? I sure some players would pay for this functionality, but it is their business.
Actually good that GGG devs don't listen community. One thread better than another.

if you owned poe, would you really let all serious players immediately exploit the latest overpowered builds?

it should at least involve 4h of gameplay to repell the ones just looking for the quick fun.

Whenever I see this peddled I wonder where people like you pull that datapoint from. Is it the Steam achievements for the game with low completion rate of Act 10 Kitava? You must realise that the game is F2P and anyone who quits before that point is counted towards that statistic, right?

Skipping campaign is only relevant to the active playerbase which, in fact, gets past Act 10. Everyone before that point is stuck in tutorial and irrelevant

If you are curious about reasons why so many speak out against a campaign skip, just check the replies on any of the 1,000,000 other threads on the same topic
