Atlas Ultimatum Keystone - chance to meet boss

How this keystone work... i tried both ways 4 small passives (40%) + 1 keystone (30%) meet Boss at final run seem 30 runs still not found any? How GGG interpretion of 70% RNG? I thought shall found at least 7 or less in 10 maps sequence, just cannot be 0 found.

tried with double passives keystone made it total of 80% chances to found boss at last run still the same. is there any TRICK need to meet to trigger this easier?

Its a 70% increase to the base chance. So if the base chance is 2% then the passives would give you a 3.4% chance to fight him.

It would need to say +% (such as the passives that give content a chance to appear) to work in the way you are describing.
omg 3+%, GGG expect me to play 1000 maps to find this boss, and if failed to kill boss, play another 1000 maps...
Sorry that was just an example for examples sake. I dont know the actual base % chance for him to spawn. The point was its not a 70% chance to spawn him.

It is around 3.4% with the nodes allocated. Pretty sure it's the same 2% base spawn rate as during Ultimatum league. 2*1.7 = 3.4% (1.7 is from 100% base + 70% increased). If you do the wandering path route, 3.6%

You are starting every 10th wave, correct? During the league all ultimatums that reached wave 10 had a Trialmaster. I think there was text that said "Defeat the Trialmaster" or something similar. With 3.23 they changed it to a chance to spawn on the 10th wave with no advance notification that Trialmaster is going to spawn. You have to start the wave to see if he spawned. There were a number of people complaining about the spawn rate this leauge that were reaching the wave 10 window, not seeing anything about Trialmaster, and taking the wave 9 rewards.

Side note: Keystones are the biggest nodes. Notables are the medium ones. Small ones are called small. The ultimatum keystone Gruelling Gauntlet prevents the boss from ever spawning. Make sure you don't have that allocated.

That is incorrect.

During Ultimatum League u had a 2% chance that Trialmaster would spawn at Wave 10. It wasn't guaranteed. I did every Ultimatum to wave 10 back then and the 2% checked out over time.
So if u want to get him to spawn, u need a build that can do 10 Waves consistently.
Also I don't really recall if there was a notice of him being the 10th wave or not, but usually u could tell by the reward. Trialmaster waves had much better rewards.

You are incorrect.

3.14 any Ultimatum encounter had a 2% chance to spawn with 10 waves.
3.23 all Ultimatums have 10 waves but only 2% of wave 10s go to Trialmaster

Ultimatum Encounters are now 10 rounds by default, though I sincerely hope you intend to last longer than 2 rounds.
You now have a chance to be teleported to The Trialmaster's Arena for the 10th round in areas with a level of 81 or higher, rather than this being guaranteed.

It's worth noting that The Trialmaster (wave 10) can only start showing up at area levels 78 and above, hence why it's missing until levels 78+. That said, the completion rate of the Trialmaster encounter is only 60%! Part of this could be attributed to the fact that players may have only fought him a few times and are still learning the encounter as they go, though the Trialmaster is a fairly difficult encounter for most, as many of his abilities can be extremely dangerous, particularly when you factor in map modifiers and Ultimatum modifiers.

I have to admit, I was indeed wrong. Guess my memory fooled me, 'cause I could have sworn it worked like I described back in the day.

Well, shit happens, but thanks for correcting.
