Could GGG implement AH on POE 1? My sugestion for NPC
I was speculating if GGG would implement an Auction House in POE 1, if successful in POE 2.
They could come back with the Cadiro and the Perandus Coin, then he would be the Auctioneer, and the Coins would be the equivalent of POE 2 Gold as a fee. Cadiro, the Auctioneer: ![]() Perandus Coin: ![]() Of course, this time the Perandus would not be tradeable between players. What you think about it? Last bumped on May 13, 2024, 6:54:03 PM

No need for a other currency. Take a look at Black Desert AH. Or so many other games. You can have a decent AH. Improve the economy. AND get rid of all the things most ppl fear a AH would bring. That is already happening. In fact, a decent AH would fix a lot of the problems that are now a thing. Or that fanboys are fearing a AH would destroy. (i will use Black Desert as a ex)
Ex. - Sniping; already a things: not in Black Desert AH - Changing prices: Not a problem in BD AH - Economy crashing: not a problem in BD (and really, i no game with a "decent" AH) - Players skipping the game and playing the game as a trade game: Already happening. In fact, who does not doe this after their first character. - Players paying IRL money for orbs (aka gold sellers) or services like leveling or boss killing: Already a thing (Can't do that in BD, as there is no trading other then the AH. And you can't sell a trash item for insane amounts to get your money for the service that way) Get de math right and disable trading other then scrolls and white loot for ec. Let everything go via the AH and you can't jack up prices of items in 2min or make it crash. There are whales in BD like you would not believe. And even those stupid enough to try will see there money dissapear. Or will just see how other ppl get the item anyhow. Because a "buy order" is appointed at random to all those having a buy order at the price the set it too. |

Read trade manifesto, why GGG don’t want AH and what cosequences would be. Also disabling player to player trade is no go for me, got guild stash for a reason and I like to help out friends with tomes/scarabs I don’t use. I don’t see a way for price limits to work in PoE, as fluctuations are high because of strategy shifts and Mathil effects.
Biggest compliments for my crafted items - "bs, they must have been RMT'ed"
I'm disabled, I have rare case of semperduravera, so I can write things that may look rude, but it is because of disability - I'm forced to tell truth using words you may not like. |

" Except the game literally includes a sniping feature for items being listed on the market, giving you a chat message or even a full popup. This is commonly used for costumes which are needed for end-endgame upgrades. " Except whenever a patch gets released or a new event happens and people panic dump materials. Right now there's a cooking event that made most materials unavailable and most resulting meals dirt cheap. This happens about every 2 weeks. " Except most lifeskillers play this way and people made trillions off of basic upgrade materials like hards/sharps. Stockpiling for events has made me more silver than I could ever get by regular grinding in that game. " Except there are many discords and even websites offering "services" for season characters, the group dungeons, potionspots including full accountsharing. I get what you're trying to say but BDO is a terrible example for everything mentioned. |

Another iteration of the famously misunderstood implications of the BDO auction house... you can make 1,000 of these threads and nothing will change
