Suggestion about trading in PoE1/2
Hello,
so for years I've been thinking about it as why don't games have it anymore? I play online games since the times of Ultima Online and back then I've encountered such a nice system for trading that was quite literally the best that I've seen in my gaming life so far. I'm talking about player vendors. Player has the ability to set up its own vendor, load it with items, set prices, maybe pay some fee (of course pay some fee) to be able to set it like an ingame shop or something like that. It can very well fit in with the whole hideout theme. Maybe have an ingame "bazar" instance or smth like that. Or each player can have a shop in their hideout or w/e - these are the details for the game designers to think through, what's important is the core idea to have a material shop or vendor in game with which you'd be able to interact with, pay like a salary or w/e. Currently we trade by searching the website, then whispering a person -> go to hideout -> make trade. Right? Well then with a player vendor it would be the almost the same, but instead you'd go to this player's "shop" after you find an item on the website, player can be offline, and then as a bonus, like in a normal shop, you'd see what else this person sells there. Something like that. I know you guys want to make an auction house now, but from what I've heard you're going to make it just like in WoW and I've played that game since vanilla and while it works there, I wouldn't want to see such thing in PoE. Just cause someone somewhere made a system that others like doesn't mean you have to copy it, Last Epoch or w/e, didn't play it, but the thought of instant buyouts - meh. Please try and think about player shops and vendors. Peace. Last bumped on Feb 1, 2024, 9:50:15 AM
