View other players' equipment

Hi,
I think it would be great to be able to view other players' equipment.
when right clicking on a player, there should be an option to view his gear.
If you think the player consent is needed for that, then a popup question would ask the viewed player if he allows for player X to view his gear. Popup (or gear viewing) can enabled/disabled in the options menu as it might be annoying for some.

Same can be done for viewing a player's passive skill tree.

I disagree.

I think a big part of the genre is the mystique of your own unique build, including your equipped items. With us currently in beta, I have no problem discussing my build and what works and what doesn't, once we go live though I, along with I'm sure many other people, will be holding that information close to the chest.

A simple option to allow or disallow others to view your character would be nice. Off by default, due to the competitive nature of the game.

Some people like to stand in town to show off their gear in similar games, and I don't see why that shouldn't be allowed. The cash shop is all about aesthetics, so showing off your perks should be an option.

That's already in the game. CTRL click your equipment, and link people to your skill tree build (tinyurl helps).

There should be some way to see skill tree builds in game, but that's a separate topic.

How about requesting to see equipment and/or build?
And an option to turn off requests.

Like 'Xxxx wants to inspect you' Yes/No
A discrete popup with a short timer that may be easily ignored.

Actively spamming the chat with gear links is very different from passively standing in the middle of town for people to inspect you. What would this option possibly hurt in the game? If you want your gear secret, you can disallow inspection.

Time spent adding it instead of some other feature.

Although I'm generally not a friend of gear inspection, this I would like very much. Would allow me to "hide" while still retaining the easy-to-use inspect for those that want it

Yeah... It's just a suggestion -_-
No one is demanding it right now. This is the kind of feature that the devs are looking to add in later patches and expansions, so there's no reason not to show support for it.

I like the idea of being able to see/show equipment, but not passive skill builds because they can be easily copied.

If I want someone to see a build, I would post it on the forums
