Can someone explain why I die, this happens 9 times out of 10 with this league boss.

This makes no sense, I see no attacks, I just die without any reason standing offscreen from boss.
Why make such boss fights? So dumb

You have zero chaos resist likely negative values he drops in pools of degen around him in addition he also spawns explody ''pools''

You simply have no mit versus that and just died naturally to it.

So in this case Improve your CR.

I have never fought him myself, just bought the fight for my last charm slot.

But it looks like you are standing on a circle that is on the arena (you can see the border of small circles right at the beginning of the fight. Perhaps those explode?


**ED: nope, I agree with above. You get hit by a bane-like skill that deals chaos damage, killing you immediately. You can see the purple circle right when you die.

With progenesis i have 16 but I see it is not even up in my fight. Guess ill try to have all my flasks active, I never press my flasks because they are automated but I see they are not automated when i fight a single target.

You can survive most of the attacks if you had CR like 100%; Most of his entire damage is chaos lol

My uh pathfinder even gets chunked at -4.

Ok, if its chaos res its chaos res. To be perfectly honest I think this kind of boss "mechanic" is bullshit game design.

There is no way for me to know what type of damage he does, no visual queue.. and the spell it uses is BANE?? But not instant Bane.. seems like a loadup time bane that I cannot dodge lol..

I dont think stuff like this should exist in the game as a boss mechanic, its kinda bs.

It's not bane, I just described it as bane-like cuz the purple circle looks similar. It might act very differently.

As for damage type....you are told via the wildwoods. Most of the monsters there are dealing chaos damage to you, so its only natural that the boss of them all would also be heavy chaos damage. Purple is the chaos color most of the time. The entire purple wisp wing is chaos damage.
