How best craft good prefixes on shield.

Hi.
I have shield with 3 very good suffixes.
I made now craft "Suffixes cannot be changed"

How now do best possible prefixes ? Its armor/es shield.
I take any good rols for life and %es or flat es.

How best craft this ? I can do few times new "suffixex cannot be changed" but if I use fossil/esence/veil I can roll 3 prefixes and shield will be broke if not roll good or not life.
I can do 1-2 x Exalt and if not roll good something again "sufixes cannot be changed" + Scoring and again 2 x exalt but is so many possible rolls it can be very expansive but most safest because my 3 suffixes are very good.
So what to do, better is try by fossils/esences or by few times exalts ?

EDIT: I tryed do this with essence with life on shields and fossils but not works dont know why. I see error: "You cant use this currency on items with a modifier that affects mod outcomes"

PS. Is any crafting section on forum ? I dont found any.

How many Divines and Annulments do you have?

Short answer is something like this (Disclaimer: I'm not a super crafter):

Suff can't be changed.

After this you could Veiled Chaos orb, Aisling, or slam.


If you don't get what you want:
Annul and hope for the best.
Craft suff can't be changed
Repeat.

Long answer involves more divines, possibly beast crafting to imprint, etc...

Someone with more knowledge might chime in and give you a better answer. But if you're wanting a super item, it's not quick or cheap, unless you get extremely lucky.

Veiled chaos not because on shield all bad rolls nothing good.
I never do craft with aisling its to cmplicated I think and I dont know how it work.
Whats is "slam" craft ?

Slam means using an Exalt orb.

You can slam anything. It just means to use that particular orb over and over until you get a "good" result.

In this case, he's referring to an exalt for the extra mod. But you could slam a particular essence to get started, for example, looking for good second and third mods to go with the essence mod.

Correct; essences and fossils are not compatible with meta crafting. You will need to use the essence or fossil before the "cannot be changed".

The best video out there on crafting is probably a pair by subtractem. The first one is a bit older but still mostly relevant. Has 1 million+ views. But there are plenty of others if you check youtube.
