Update for Delve Tab to make it REALLY usefull
" " " " The way you talk should actually dismiss u from any further conversation. Also, your take on P2W is as ancient as the old greeks. In this game especially, there is TONS of winning if you strictly speak about economic gains compared to other players. If that wouldn´t matter we would not have that whole mf discussion. |

" I'm not really taking sides here, but personally I don't think this is true, or at the very least, I'd disagree. It's incredibly subjective to measure winning in a non-competitive PVE game. (Racing aside which represents a tiny fraction of the community. and is offset by SSF) I mean what is "winning" in PoE? The campaign? Red maps? Fully unlocking the Atlas and objectives? Ubers? Global market domination by hoarding divine orbs and pushing your div/hour stats? If the tabs, for example, save me time, help organize, or whatever else related QoL could be monetized, I'd much rather have that than more predatory monetization like gamble boxes and battle passes. If I had to choose, my time and enjoyment is more important than opinions from totally F2P players on what is "fair". That might sound bad, but its the hard truth. I mean are we really saying that smashing LMB 1000 times to link a chest piece is a must have in order for the game to be "fair"? We really have jumped the shark on what's required to maintain consistency if so. Having the option to "apply 1000 fusings" similar to how crafting re-rolls work for Rog, wouldnt shatter the game. That doesn't even have to be paid QoL in a crafting tab for example, but Id be open to a tab like that. I do think there is plenty GGG could do like this this, that is net player positive, without "hurting" the game. Its monetization that is less predatory and more geared towards QoL. I do know some F2P purists disagree, just my two cents. "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

There is no winning per se, but A LOT of people compare themselves to others. If they see that someone else has advantage over them, because they paid real money, it makes those people upset. It doesnt matter whether it affects their gameplay at all, the fact is that advantage of one customer makes other customers unhappy.

" Ugh, I don't really like the jealousy and envy angle being weaponized, especially in the consumer space. If you can't afford it, dont buy it. That's not the person who has the abiltiy to do so fault. Especially if it's offered by the developer. Missing out on potential QoL because a dedicated F2P might be upset, doesn't make sense to me, on either the gameplay side, or the financial side. You cannot make a business model that focuses on people that don't spend as the priority in a F2P. At the very least you have to have incentives for those that spend. Meh point is I'd rather see monetization more towards player centric areas, and QoL. Not the more predatory or fomo related paths like the loot boxes or battle pass. Again just my thoughts tho, I'm sure it's not universally shared. "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

" Well, "vote with wallet" is a thing because it works. Games, in the end, are made to make money, and if a lot of potential consumers is upset aout something, you need to act and make them happy, or you will lose a lot of money. |
