Migrating old characters from expired leagues

I'm trying to move several characters that I have where the league had expired to my standard league. Every time I try to migrate - I get an error message saying I can't migrate at this time. I have alot of good items from those characters and would like to keep these items without deleting the characters. Does anyone know a way to do this

If you are referring to your characters in the Atlas Invasion, then no, they cannot be migrated as they were voided leagues.
