Pricefixer striking again (He is "johndoe" because shaming is not allowed)
I don't care anymore.
In 2020 I notified GGG support that there was a group of players pricefixing the eternal orb price. They listed a few eternal orbs at low prices to drive the price down but with no intention of ever selling. They gradually aqcuired a huge sum of cheaply priced eternal orbs. When the market is drained, they slightly higher the price and starts to accumulating some more. GGG never did anything about it. I notified streamers; they didn't care. So I don't give a fuck anymore. Also screw mirrors. They are probably RMTed like crazy by giant trading groups who monopolize them and gather them in the thousends. There is also a forum dweller who boasts he has 1000+. Do you honestly think he got that legit? Because of Diablo I know of a forum that illegally trades items. I sometimes visit that forum to look for cheaters. There are items being offered there from accounts with the same name as their POE account (ok that doesn't proof anything at this point because someone can impersonate someone else) but also with the same items on the trade site. I don't think any action was taken towards such cases. Heart of Purity

" It went steadily from 620 divines up to 800 atm, and the price-fixer can and will make it 850 soon. That is more like 25% more, not 10%, first of all it is very inconvenient to buy a mirror while divines do not fit in 1 inventory which holds only 60 slots. The second, having 7 mirrors is not being rich...)) And imagine you paying those 7 divines, buying something good. Then you want to buy something else, or start a big crafting project, and you're screwed, because you now have to spend more days of farming, some players are never seeing a mirror of kalandra in like 5 years, you know what I mean? And they say, okay, I will start grinding for it, because it's a grinding game, but nope! You grinded 600 div? Oh wow, grind more! Like yeah i like the process, bruh, but I want the result too! And why will the rich get richer using 24/24 price-fixing? They are making 1 mirror everyday, just because those 1000 mirrors they have rise in price by 1 single divine. And if it was legitimate I would have nothing to be annoyed about. Last edited by Mitterand#0505 on Jan 5, 2024, 2:14:34 AM

" And you JUST GAVE UP bro? - AFK players are "penalized" by marking them as AFK, buyers are thus less likely to whisper them, even if they have better deals. - Pricefixers are never penalized, they can even use the Online Only option as an excuse for ignoring thousands of whispers, while manipulating the prices on a different league, mocking other players making them lose time and making other players lose their value by influencing the market. Capitalizing on it is the lesser offense that they inflict, in fact, that is normal, I mean it's not actually normal since they are not playing one league but get richer on it just by putting some false offer. GGG doesn't seem to be capable (or maybe willing?) to stop it, even with TFT actually providing a third party browser extension which will show you price-fixers and scammers in red, until they actually promise to stop offensive actions and return to normality. I think that first time you should only get a warning, but if you do it repeatedly for 6 months every day like this "JohnDoe", you SHOULD definitely get a WARNING! And you should stop doing it! Or get your account marked as a scammer, which price-fixing actually is - scamming. The mirror price will raise by itself, but your actions as a price-lurer are making things even worse, inflating the economy, players leaving because no point to farm if divines have less buying power than before... New players are suffering too, because the crafters are getting slammed down. And if you are dreaming to become a crafter yourself, well, good luck, divines are still more than 300 c and mirrors - you wont ever see one) - just the one on your wall. That is actually encouraging (real money) because a newbie seeing mirrors so expensive are tempted to B U Y them and get everything they want, instead of farming. So why would you like this inflation stuff, GGG guys? Why are you just passive and unable to offer any good reason or sollution on this? That's pissing off all the genuine players, grinders, and are only favoring the real big-fish. I am not going to give up, sorry, I think that not only me, just waiting for an answer. One that can sort out the things. Even being so powerless, you guys were very receptive before and even now are very polite, but I don't want to be politely sent off... If to be sent off, better do it in a rude way, but I really think that's not the case with you GGG guys. Please support my appeal man! Thanks a lot for your comments! Yo guys, you are showing interest in this, means that I'm not a paranoid rich freak, it's something we deserve for a game without price-lurers. Community has made POE so great! |

Uses a tft browser extension but get's upset about tft's price fixer at the same time, how ironic
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

" Your comment makes you ultimately unironically incredible... Should I bother to explain? 1. Normal players can use a TFT extension for safe trading, even if they dislike TFT. 2. I neither like nor use TFT, in fact I am neutral. In three years maybe I've used TFT 2 (two) times to sell some maps in bulk. And those heist scrolls, whatever they are called. Contracts. 3. Wtf you have against me??????? I get upset more on stupid comments than on price-lurers, tbh. Depicting me as a TFT expert was the worse thing you could do, people have internet bro, people have discord, people are on TFT, they can check all my (f-word) activity there, and shaming someone is just so dumb, it's just what you did to me, totally inadequate shaming, just because I try to speak up, yo! Instead of supporting or discussing the topic, what does my anger towards someone who is getting undeserved profits in POE has to do with me using a F-WORD CHROME, TRADE, F-WORD EXTENSION?????? |

" IF TFT DOES something, just something, better than GGG, and I state about it, should I be depicted as a TFT (f-word) Lover???? Yo! You have even suggested me being one of those mirror-service guys... I am not! Your brain bro, it makes you think in certain ways that are totally unknown for me. Stop using f-word slogans and start thinking, use your brain, pls,pls,pls.... |

" Where I said that the price-lurer is on TFT? * He is not on TFT. He was banned on TFT some time ago, but I don't care about that! It's their personal bussiness. I care about price-luring, 24/24 full 6 months, which is Scamming! Duh [Removed by Support] where I wrote that the price-lurer is on TFT? - Where in the thread? ...Where in my comments? - What does "TFT love" or "TFT hate" having to do with me using a TFT extension? - May-be I am a TFT ha-teer and just use it's free extension to get safer trades? I am neutral bro. Just neutral. Because TFT doesn't pay me. Because TFT founder doesn't give me free items. And because they also never did something wrong to me. Bruh... just... bruh. I wasn't planning on weighing in here because I genuinely don't have the ability to care about anything which happens in standard... but I really gotta call this bit out:
" Point 1 is dangerously false. I don't think you're being disingenuous here, because of point 2, but it is very important to understand that by using the TFT extension you are directly supporting, empowering, and enabling TFT. The TFT black list is not, and never has been, a community-driven tool to root out scammers and price fixers. It's primary purpose is as something to threaten players with, a means to weaponize trade itself against TFTs competition and critics. There are dozens if not hundreds of accounts on that list who have never once attempted to scam anybody, and several of the TFT moderators who have been caught on video trying to scam or blackmail players manage to stay off of it. The list is a sham, and it only has power because people keep using it. And I'm not gonna tell you to stop using it, or TFT itself. Do whatever you want, since it has no possible way of affecting me. But you should at least think for yourself enough to understand what it is you are doing, and who you are doing it for. If you let TFTs moderators tell you who to buy and not buy from, you are NOT neutral. You're a pawn. |

" I don't care about TFT. Isn't that being neutral? [Removed by Support] When I decide to trade someone or not, I am using my brain, not just looking what the extension is telling me about that guy. But I will tell you that in 95% of cases the extension is sorting out the potentially dangerous interactions. [Removed by Support] I am not a pawn, yo. TFT moderators not telling me to trust or mistrust someone, they are just one of the indices for me depistating an ungoing scam. Seems like you are throwing your frustration with TFT staff on me, but I am really not sponsored by them.) I am just a player, like you, but I have chosen for myself to don't give a damn about TFT instead of being frustrated [Removed by Support] But in this particular case, with the 24/24 half an year long shameless price-lurer, also very mad on TFT, of course... I have all the proofs, and you can find them in my thread. For more detailed screenshots, I am not sure that this sensitive info is allowed by GGG to be presented to you, btw.
