4090 Flashing Textures and FPS tanks in Rogue Harbour and other Intense Fights.

Flashing textures - easy to reproduce by opening up skill tree in rogue harbour when a few players are around.


Things I've tried:
Game is installed in C:\Path of Exile
I have both local and steam install of game. (Haven't tried with steam yet)

1) Reinstalling latest Nvidia drivers and also rolling back to 545.92
2) disabling G-Sync
3) deleting shader/whole folder cache from appdata/roaming/path of exile/
4) setting nvidia 3d settings to prefer path of exile as maximum performance
power profile.
5) Tested PC in Passmark (score 12537) - https://www.passmark.com/baselines/V11/display.php?id=198389929529
6) toggled various options in game, like shadows, vsync, triple buffering


When the flashing starts my FPS dips to the teens.

OLD- OK Think I fixed it by disabling G-Sync completely (Which I shouldn't have to do)

And setting the following settings.

I think the FPS was falling below 40fps which was turning g-sync on and off as it rose above the 40fps threshold.

Game settings and nvidia settings set as below.

Nevermind Didn't fix it

FPS still tanks when opening Skilltree while in Rogue Harbour

Look at that FPS tank!!
Also the Templar Image and nodes are flickering on and off.

This is my GPU usage when opening the passive tree and zooming out in Rogue Harbour.

It goes back to 120fps when the tree is closed.

Textures and UI elements flash and flicker when the GPU usage drops like this.




What the hell is going on?

Edit: nope not solved.

Opening passive tree in rogue harbour and zooming out, will cause UI to dissapear.

Might be something to do with 120hz, and Gsync, but the frame rate tanks to 20fps on a 4090..

I have the same problems in rogue harbour. And mostly when I'm getting close to my stash. I'm thinking there's more stacked people there with MTX.
