Respawn in Maps
The whole respawn system seems like its a remnant of an older idea that was never actually implemented into the game. And yet, since the current system still functions, they saw no need to overhaul it.
For example "resurrect at checkpoint": there is no checkpoint in any place in this game except less than 50% of areas in the campaign where there are multiple areas before the next wp. When you look, this only happens in about 5 different places across the campaign, and NEVER in mapping. Perhaps they were initially going to add ways to drop "checkpoints" at some point, but it just never happened. "Resurrect in Town" seems to be a remnant of a MUCH older version or idea of this game, where you might want to exchange gear, repair durability, or buy potions or whatever before heading back into the map. But again, a potion system like that was never implemented and gear changing hasn't been a thing since...ever? Or at least not since the beta. There are many other things that remain in this game that are severely severely outdated or unhelpful and just go unchanged. Sadly, its a GGG constant. Another big example is tooltip information. People have been complaining about minion and DoT tooltip info since pre-1.0 and it has literally never been considered, implemented, or tweaked in any way.
