Item Display Case

I've just had my first encounter with this new hideout decoration, and I want to let GGG know that they really need to do better...

So I crafted a great item for my build and wanted to show it off. I bought the Item Display Case decoration and placed it in my hideout. Then I took my item and put it in that display case.

Issue 1: It has to hold the physical item to display its stats. You cannot keep using your item and have it displayed. That's kinda lame. You can post your item on the forum and it will remember it. The game has some internal database of items that the forum posts use. Please use that for display cases without requiring the item to be physically inside the case.

That was a bit disappointing. And since I want to keep using my item, I wanted to take it back. The description said I could take it out of the case at any time, as long as I'm in the same league.

Issue 2: NOPE! It would not let me take my item back. It showed a lock icon in the corner of the display case. Left- or right-clicking did nothing. There was no mouse-over information either. The game simply refused to let me take my item out of the case without any explanation.

I did my best not to panic. I googled 'how to take item out of display case in path of exile'. Found some hints like, 'leave the hideout and come back' and 'log out and log back in'. Tried that. Didn't work. The game kept holding my item hostage.

Finally, I found another recommendation: create a new instance of the hideout. Luckily, I'm not a new player and I know what that means. So I logged off and went to do something else for 10 min - hopefully enough time for my hideout instance to expire. After 10 min I logged back in, and voila! - the lock on the display case was gone and it let me take my item.

THIS IS NOT FUNNY. Holding my item and refusing to let me take it back without any explanation. Requiring logging out for a significant amount of time. And that's if you can even find this 'pro tip'. Quite frankly, this is BULLSHIT.

You need to do better, GGG. A whole lot better than this.
