No stygian spire with gilded scarab

I have been running maps with the gilded scarab for at least 8 maps and no stygian spire have appeared.

For the context:
The scarabs were consumed (twist of fate has never been used of course)

They were indeed gilded

This is not an issue of one shooting the spire, I can see the trove (that should not appear) systematically.

I am not running behind, always on top of the abyss as it progresses.


To test I have run a few maps with rusted and the "stygian spire chance" on. This time I have seen a few spire (not systematic as expected). This points were of when using gilded (in case the chance was to override the automatic spire of gilded).

as anyone encountered that before? Really feels bad as stygian spire are core of affliction farming strategies.

Same here, lost several gilded scarabs on different maps - no stygian spires whatsoever.

Edit: Make sure you're not running growing hordes or stream of consciousnes in the atlas tree ;)

using gilded abyss carab, only guarantees spires if zone level is 77 or below (lower than t11 maps)
since abyssal depth cannot spawn below zone level 78
