Help me Understand "Chance to Chill/Ignite" with Lightning Build
So one mechanic I'm still really unclear on and its becoming critical that I understand this for my build..
I currently have 35% chance to chill, freeze, and ignite all from passives, and Elemental Overload as well. If I am only doing lightning damage, am I actually inflicting any of these ailments on enemies? Yes, you normally need some fire&cold dmg to inflict their ailments.
Elementalist can ignore this requirement. |

" Im mostly concerned about getting the Sadist notable to work (+% increased damage for each ailment I have inflicted recently). So to confirm, if I just add a bit of flat cold and fire damage to my gear, I will be inflicting chill/ignite? I imagine they will not be strong effects since the damage is not scaling, but as long as the game counts me as having done so.. Am I understanding this correctly? Thanks! IGN: Eso_Es
