" So then, what's the difference here?? MMO = Massive Multiplayer Online. Arpg = Action Role Playing Game. Do ppl in this game not play together?? Is it not a "role playing" game? Is it not oa a server with a "Massive" amount of ppl playing at one time?? So what is the difference here then besides OBVIOUS semantics? " Oh, this is an "instanced out" kind of game. Ok then, now I understand. It's kind of like a single player game. Right... The Pope quit, a meteor fell on Russia, an

" It's missing the "Massively" part because when you leave town, you only see other players if you are in a party, and the maximum party size is 6. You can see up to 30 players in town though. Massively Multiplayer Online is typically assumed to have a much larger number of players in each area. More importantly, the gameplay and design of Path of Exile is more similar to an action game (although with very deep RPG mechanics) and not as similar to games like Everquest. Think of it like an MMO that allows you to solo all content if you wish, or play in a small party. Less focus on the "social" interaction of most MMOs and more focus on the combat, loot, and character building. Plus, instead of fighting 1-3 enemies at a time, and slowly watching their health bar drop, you are often battling 10+ enemies in each group with fast-paced and deadly combat where enemies are dropping like flies, yet your own health can drop quickly too. It's more "visceral" and intense than most MMO style combat. Last edited by Axebane#6055 on Jun 6, 2012, 2:23:49 PM

" If you ever played Guild Wars,Vindictus.. it's kinda like those. I'm sure they'll add more feature after OB is release. Any way, I highly recommended this game for it unique classes system and awesome dark theme graphic. |
