Why melee is so bad? Specially the animation combo

Since they brought this new melee animation combo that does a 1-2 (slower / faster) attack, it became so lame to kite enemies around... You need so much attack speed to make it feel good like it did back in the days.
In general, melee feels janky af an require so much investiment to get anywhere near good. I really wanted to play Viper Strike, but instead i started as a caster DD Chain to farm currency and get gear for an alt, however, leveling is painful af... Every single caster i made just demolished the campaing as a league starter, but i can't level a fckn alt with gear and currency available...

Honestly, they should just get rid of accuracy and this janky combo animation.

Also another suggestion for better melee kiting is to add auto-aim when you attack in place but don't target anything (like repeat attacks from multistrike). If u ever played LoL u know how great and smooth melee kiting feels specially with big attack speed, you can quickly move around attacking with "A" (which attacks the closest enemy to the mouse when u click if u missclick into the ground), and it feels incredibly good, while in PoE if u don't exactly target the enemy (which happens a lot when u're dodgin' thousands of shit) the attack whif completly.

Slams can feel jank but strikes I've always enjoyed.

There's melee builds I've made and passed on Multistrike because it'll animation lock you. Just take the DPS hit and play smoother. Unfortunately Melee doesn't have anything like Unleash to play with.

I might break my 5 league blacklist on melee to try the 1h Lacerate but I also might not get around to it. New Wild Strike is obviously good but that was one of the last melee I played.
