Here are my hours for Affliction
![]() I farmed over 500 divines and only 9 were dropped from mobs My currency drops ( I kept track of in player status ) Div : 9 | Annul: 4 | Exalt: 16 | Sacred: 1 Affliction gets a 2/10 from me, genuinely one of the worst leagues I have ever played in POE Here are my list of gripes and things that made me quit the league already #1 - High difficulty is still not high rewards. Players farming t16 with wildwood juiced mobs are not getting more loot than a player who is farming t1 maps and magic finding. This is a terrible balance. People want to make their characters stronger so they can do end game content, but the end game content and juiced mapping isn't rewarding. The main people who are enjoying the loot are people using full MF and people who do party play. TBH I even think there is something currently bugged with MF and its giving even more loot than intended. #2 - Unbalanced terrible bosses and mobs inside of Affliction The main boss, King in the Mist, summons a circle around you that will basically guarantee your death if you move or if you stand still, depending on which circle you have applied on you. Being someone who interacted with this boss early, it was basically impossible for me to figure out wtf to do because I would have needed to pause the game and hover over this debuff and read it. Horrible experience, and from the 7+ times I did run into him I did not see a single jewel drop. There's thing herald of agony thing that non stop teleports each time it gets hit and seemingly never dies. I was playing a Tornado shot build with well over 40 million dps and I couldn't even kill this thing. It destroyed me every single time I found it. Great design. Random dude starts summoning non-stop exploding frogs near the NPC so I have to sit and wait... Like why is this a thing? Some of these mobs also leaped onto me from far away and insta killed me. All in All, the mobs inside of the wildwood felt extremely unfair and imbalanced af. But it gets EVEN WORSE... the wildwood gave mobs so much health and damage reduction, it felt like I was fighting an Uber Boss. These behemoth rares generally dropped nothing even though they were so insanely difficult and tanky. Of all the wild wood rares I killed I had only 2 explosions of loot. 1 was an explosion of maps and the other was an explosion of fractured items. Once again... you managed to completely miss difficult = rewarding. I would have dropped WAY more stuff and loot if I went MF and did easier content. That makes the game extremely boring. You need to stop with this design. #3 - Barely even added anything to the game Everything was basically unchanged for this league. Same end game bosses for the last 2 years. Not much of a shake up on the atlas tree. GGG added ultimatum but once again... ( you see a repeating thing here ) failed to make it rewarding especially with the wave increase. I saw people getting 6 chisels on round 13. What a joke. The transfigured gems were mostly an L, so many of them were interesting till you actually used them ingame and then quickly realized it sucked. There were a few good ones, but mostly transfigured gems is a big L. Helm enchants > transfigured gems tbh. So basically the entire experience for this league is, go run around picking up some rainbow sparkles, add some rarity and quantity to your maps, drastically increase enemy hp and dmg. Extremely boring, outside of the free power from the wildwood ascendancies. If you hit the wildwood herald of agony you hear a screetch indicating it casted death aura a pretty nasty debuff that can kill easily. Your not meant to kill it.
Idk what build can completely mitigate the degen. The thing is very deadly. Loot is very good btw and an outright godsend for gearing in ruthless. In fact the loot in high tier maps is at obscene lvls this patch but you will need a banger build for that. Speaking of obscene: the transfigured gems aren't a big L. Some sure but the last time you could crack a 50-100mill dps build at such low cost was when they introduced replicas in heist. The big L will come later when they nerf the shit out of the gems. |

affliction is the best league EVER, the last time I had this much fun was in 3.13 scourge league, GGG created a league SHOWERING you in rewards and you still found a way to complain? I absolutely love this stuff integrated with mapping.

" i m happy for you that you are really enjoying this league. theres always difference in opinions and its not really possible to make everyone happy. personally i like affliction with a few caveats. as a weaker player i would prefer if we were given an option to "release the wisps" upon exiting the forests. not all of us are running good builds like you. not criticizing you, but its normal that when we get better at something we forgot how we started. the issues that other players faced are things that you do not see as a problem. personally sanctum was my favourite league of all time on release. many people hated it. ggg rebalanced sanctum so that more people would like it. now i hate sanctum and what its become. btw you can run T7 maps juiced up, and get 1-2 raw divines per map with almost 0 investment, or if you prefer T16 then just pace your self, don't go over 1k of juice and you gonna be fine, this is the most fun league we all ever seen for several years, make the most of it, cause we gonna miss it for sure

Literally the top .0001% of players in the game if thats the case. And then starts talking about magic find and party play... to like say how imbalanced the game economy is between solo players.... as if OP are finding it difficult to get any currency. Contradicting themselves in their own post. Just lul.... And you complain about Mfing and then make a toon named "MFingCauseBreydon" ???? Hilarious. Completely wrong about transfigured gems as well. The third skill on POE ninja leaderboards is one of them. If you are having trouble .... at any sense of progression in trade league with "500 divines" or a tornado shot build with "well over 40 million dps" thats a big yikes skill issue wise. The main reason people like the league is the loot explosions, but the loot explosions being based around abyss spires and strongbox 500% quant sextant is stupid and bad. If you're not using these strategies you're getting 90% less loot than everybody else. It should not be this way.
It feels awful to get one of the non-wisp bosses ruining your wisps so your map is completely bricked. Got 3k of 1 wisp and none of the others? Exit your map it's 100% worthless and will drop no loot. Only got 2k of 1 wisp and 1k of one of the others? Exit your map it's 100% worthless and will drop no loot. It's pretty silly. |
