EU Ping Spikes - fixed by VPN?

From looking at some posts I can tell multiple people with ISP Telekom Germany still face the ping spikes.
I was able to solve them for me with a VPN.

I don't know if the MTR is meaningful with VPN turned on, maybe other people made some tests with a VPN as well.

Not sure if GGG can do anything, and I doubt the first level support of Telekom will be of any use, no idea who to contact.


I think I noticed the spikes ingame correlating with the packet loss on the last 3 hops when I had no vpn, hope that helps.

I used the most recent IP I got from the client.txt in both cases (had to relog after I turned on the VPN obviously)
