Please drop the "sent to the Void" global notifications
Those messages should probably be tied to global chat. Meaning if the chat is off you won't see the void messages either.
In chat they could at least spark some conversations or "F" spam, but if I'm playing without chat then wtf I'm supposed to do with it and why should I care. The way campaign should be played by your second and any subsequent characters: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3772827

I like the global announcements; they remind me of my HC days.
And you cannot say that it is spam, it doesn't happen frequently. Strange people are against it. Heart of Purity

I like options, so I don't see why players aren't allowed the option to mute unimportant global notifications.
And yes, I said unimportant. Being informed on who made it to what depth in delve or being yeeted to the void is unimportant compared to warning of server shutdown for updates and, I guess, shilling lootboxes/season passes. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. |

why??? it's fun observing players ripping their mirror tier chars
PoE1 3.23 - the best league of all time (an absolute banger)
---- PoE2 0.2f - a bit better, but PoE1 atlas is a million times better than PoE2 atlas |

Agreed there should be a toggle.

Yeah, can you disable them? We don't need notification when somebody decides to delete their SC character. It is just meaningless spam.

I like em somehow. Just a little bit of Schadenfreude. :)

This is getting a bit much. Could we either:
- Disable the notifications - Make it an option to disable them - Rate limit them to 1 per hour (or per minute) - Only display them if the character name is amusing - Add them to Client.txt so I can play music tropes when someone rips their level 100 character - Since they're pretty regular, set them to a beat, ideally in time to my current in-game music track - Have nearby NPCs make derisory comments on them - Spawn something horrible in all instances if a sufficient number of people sent to the void recently (Uber Diablo) - Have the ewok music trouple show up every time to play out the death, two birds with one stone - Just notify me if a minute passes when someone wasn't sent to the void Thanks. |

cool with an option or toggle I guess but i really wonder is it needed? I mean really? I honestly wonder if people who can't stand seeing some yellow text at the top of the chat window a couple times per day should be endulged?
Like a part of me wonders if making every little thing an option doesn't just make it easier to be bothered by the next triviality? Part of life is growing calluses. Being able to ignore things is a mental callus. How far you're willing to let things annoy you is important, otherwise you end up describing a pet in a videogame as "giving me PTSD". Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years. |
