Remove fracture recipe not working?

Hi, I heard that if you vendor a fractured ring with an orb of augmentation and an amethyst flask you will get the base item back without the fracture but for some reason, I get normal junk back (shards).
Can someone please help? I don't know what I am doing wrong. The base was 10 divs and a fracture orb another 1000 c, so I hope this can be fixed. Thanks! Last bumped on Dec 13, 2023, 7:42:48 PM

Pulled this from reddit maybe yours doesn't have the chaos resist. not sure how reliable this info is but try that perhaps. https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/11pom16/psa_vendor_recipes_can_remove_fracturesynth_mods/ Rings/Amulets To convert a fractured amulet/ring, the item has to be rolled with Chaos Resistance (T3 or below). Synth items can be normal or magic/rare with chaos resist, before using the following recipe.
