Can we spend a minute to talk about GGG giving tools to trolls to p2w and make the game bad?

What do i mean by p2w? Trolls have ONE objective. simply to make others miserable.

valdos box is the latest example of this. one of the map mods presented can actually VOID a character on death.

the upside is that this allows them to create insane maps with insane rewards.

the effect to 99.9999% of the community IF they drop one would be AH SHIT i m not gonna run this.

if you're on a "normie" league, you could still sell it off. if you're on SSF, sucks to be you.

as for the 0.00001% that have insane gear and balls to run the map. they'd be more than happy to buy the box off of you.

one thing my friends keep saying about POE is the strong gets stronger.

look at what happened to HoGM. the players that bother to make HoGM capable builds would buy the maps off players for cheap. but for those that cant run it. its a useless item.

HoGM is the embodiment of trolling others. i understand the theme of "its PVP" and "its where players immortalize" their characters. but at the same time its in no way balanced. run a poison build/chaos build? dont bother.

back in the early days of GGG, we can actually excuse GGG as they needed more cash.

but now its VERY apparent that they're just doing so knowing that trolls will help fund the game by making "bad" items.

as much as i want to yell at the lovers who bought supporter packs to make foiled HoGMs, the real people to be yelled at is GGG.

they allowed this.

they're getting off the hook with "it was the supporter's choice". and theyre perfectly happy adding shit into the game that makes a player's experience worse because bad shit gives more value to good things when you get them. and also they get a wad of cash while theyre at it.

on the flipside, its pure marketing genius. i respect the hustle.

but still. GGG thanks a lot for making the game worse for the rest of us.

so get better and get better gear, crazy how people let sht ruin their day that doesn't change how they play the game, sell the map or don't loot it, problem solved, some dude with mirror gear getting a hh or mageblood from a insane map, literally has no impact on you other than making those items a few divs cheaper

different people find enjoyment in different things.

for me i like dropping something, picking it up and see its something good.

picking up a voidborn key and getting a foil fragility jewel wouldnt be fun would it?

but it exists.

sometimes somethings affect people a certain way and people may feel strongly about it.

to others it may be a non issues and doesnt affect them. crazy that these people would come out of their way to tell them NAH your opinion doesnt matter.
